QualificationsQualifications
Required Education
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate or undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical, Electrical or Firmware Engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to convey research findings.
- Ability and willingness to learn tools and techniques to assist in evaluating new technologies.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools preferred.
- Depending on role focus:
- Knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers, tensile test equipment, pressure regulators, multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and power meter.
- An understanding of basic electronic components such as diodes, LEDs, resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, IC's, etc.
- Experience with CAD and Circuit Analysis SW a plus.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies, such as WiFi and BLE, as well as GPS.
- Experience working with an RTOS.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

BI Hardware Engineering is tasked with designing the company's products. We are currently seeking a highly motivated student to join our team.
The Hardware Engineering Intern will support engineers in the testing, evaluation and support of new technology designs and product offerings. Position involves statistical analysis of advanced problem solving skills. Evaluate data derived from reliability and performance testing of new and existing designs to propose changes and updates as necessary.
Intern Responsibilities
- Assists Engineers in the Hardware Department on tasks and projects.
- Designs, develops, tests, and documents new product or system design.
- Develops project plans and garners support before implementation of approved plan.
- Collaborates on analysis and creation of interim and final reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
